Welcome to Life after graduate school, and after some World Travels...

Welcome to my blog-website, thanks for viewing and continue to check for updates. I have been dreaming of painting for more than 30 years. I was born in Vail in mid 1980's, Colorado is my HOME. I spend most my life, and grew up in Edwards, CO which is only 17 miles from Vail Mountain, and 6 miles from Beaver Creek Resort. (The "Vail Valley" aka Eagle County is approximately Vail Pass to Dostero.) When I am Not painting or working a "day job", I also enjoy Alpine and Nordic Skiing in the Winter. In the summer, I hike and trail run. I grew up surrounded by The Mystic Quaking Aspen groves (known as populus tremuloides in North America) these TREEs are some of the largest organisms on Earth, the grove is connected underground by their Roots Systems. The High Alpine Aspen Forest is the Most inspiring for my current paintings (new series after Grad school, 2012 to present "the watching eye".) I spent my childhood attending public school, taking many art classes, after school I would play outside. I graduated from Battle Mountain High School in the top 10%, in Spring 2004, and received senior athlete award. After that I went to college, and finished two more degrees. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, with a concentration in Middle Eastern (Near Eastern studies) in May 2008 from Minnesota. In December 2011, I received a graduate degree, Master of Arts in Art in Painting from Adams State University aka Adams State College, my thesis on Aerial Perspectives. I have also traveled outside my home. Between the years 1999-2012, I traveled to many foreign countries, such as Madagascar (2012), South Korea (2009), Vancouver-BC (2009), Cairo-Egypt (2006-2007), Jordan (2007), Istanbul-Turkey (2007), Honduras (2003), Italy (2001) and Paris-France (1999). I also been to Manhattan, New York City for a month-long-studio arts tour (January 2006.) In Spring 2020 I'm moving to Western part of Colorado, the West is calling me.
